When you first sign in, ChartPull walks you through the product with a guided tour and a checklist. Here is how they work and what each step covers.
The tour uses highlighted overlays to draw your attention to key parts of the interface. Each step has a short explanation and a “Next” button. You can skip the tour at any time, and it will not show again unless you restart it.
The tour starts automatically the first time you sign in. What you see depends on your role:
Restart anytime
Missed something? You can restart the tour at any time from the Help menu in the top navigation bar. Click Help → Restart Tour.The admin tour has 10 steps, grouped into four phases. Each phase builds on the previous one so you move from viewing data to acting on it.
Welcome to ChartPull
A quick welcome screen that explains what ChartPull does: connect your Google Workspace directory and get a visual org chart instantly.
The org chart
Highlights the main chart area. You can expand and collapse branches by clicking the +/- buttons on any node. Click on a person to open their profile.
Switch views
Shows the view switcher in the toolbar. You have four views: Tree (the default hierarchical layout), List (a searchable table), Compact (smaller cards for large orgs), and D3 Interactive (pan-and-zoom with animated transitions).
Viewers have a shorter, focused tour that covers the essentials they need to start browsing the org chart.
Welcome
A brief introduction explaining that your admin has set up ChartPull and you can browse your company's org chart.
Click on a person
Shows how clicking any card opens a profile panel with the person's title, department, manager, direct reports, and full reporting chain up to the CEO.
Search
Highlights the search bar. Viewers can search by name or title to quickly find anyone in the organisation.
After the tour finishes, a checklist appears in the sidebar. It guides you through the key features step by step. Each item takes under a minute to complete.
